Questions about
Goodnight From Me
Answers about stories, voices, purchases and your account.
Getting started
Can I try the app for free?
Yes. Open Classic Tales for free stories with bundled studio narration. You don’t need to create a personalized story or enroll a family voice to listen.
What are welcome story credits?
New accounts start with 3 welcome story credits. A Short personalized story uses 1 credit and Long uses 2. The first narration is included. The app shows your balance and the cost before you continue.
How much does it cost after that?
Classic Tales with their bundled recordings remain free. Additional personalized stories, new recordings and optional picture-book editions are available through in-app purchases.
Optional membership includes 4 story credits per month or 48 per year. One-time purchases are also available. Your store shows current prices, billing periods and renewal terms before you confirm. Prices can vary by country.
Does my child need an account?
No. Goodnight From Me is managed by adults. An adult creates the account, chooses the family details to include and reviews personalized stories.
Stories & voices
Can I read the story before narration?
Yes. You review and approve the text before choosing a narrator. Personalized stories use AI and may contain mistakes or details that don’t suit your child. Please read them first.
How do family voices work?
With permission, voice technology makes a private digital version of an adult’s voice to narrate approved stories. The narration is generated; the adult does not need to record each story.
The adult whose voice will be used must enroll their own voice, give consent, complete verification and approve a sound check. You cannot record or enroll someone else’s voice on their behalf. Children cannot enroll a voice.
Setup is optional. You can choose a studio narrator instead. An enrolled adult can revoke their consent or request voice deletion in the app.
My narration is taking a while. What should I do?
The app gives an estimate while preparing a recording. You can leave that screen and check the story on Home later. Longer stories can take longer to prepare.
If the story shows an error or seems stuck, use its support option or contact support (opens in a new tab). Include the approximate time and error message. Avoid starting several new requests for the same problem.
Can I listen offline?
Saved recordings support offline listening. Make sure the story is available on your device before relying on it away from Wi-Fi. Creating a new story or preparing new narration needs an internet connection.
Does replay use another credit?
No. Replaying or reusing an exact saved recording does not use another credit. Creating a new additional recording uses paid credits. The app shows the cost before you continue.
How do I report a problem with a story?
Use the story’s support option in the app, or open support (opens in a new tab). When opened from the app, the email draft can include story and family references so we can investigate. No story text or recordings are attached automatically.
Account & purchases
How do I cancel my subscription?
Manage renewal through the store that billed you. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Your already-paid term continues after renewal is canceled.
My purchase is missing. How can I restore it?
Use the same store account that made the purchase, then choose Restore Purchases in the app’s purchase screen. If access still looks wrong, contact support with your platform and purchase date. Never send passwords or payment-card details.
How do I delete my account or family data?
Follow the steps on our account deletion page (opens in a new tab). If you have a subscription, manage its renewal separately through the store. Our Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) explains deletion, retention and your choices.
