Website privacy
Your analytics choice
This page explains optional measurement on goodnightfromme.com. The app’s accounts, family information and recordings are covered by the separate app privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Optional Google Analytics
If you accept website analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which public pages people visit and which App Store or Google Play links they use. A store-link click tells us someone left for a store. It does not tell us that they installed the app or bought anything.
Google Analytics can process usage information, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals, and we do not send app account identifiers, child names, story text, voice recordings or email addresses.
We measure visits using a fixed address for each public page. We leave out extra address details after a question mark or hash sign because they can contain private references. If another website sent you here, we keep only its website address, not the full page address. Automatic collection of form entries, searches and other outgoing links is off.
You can say no or change your mind
Google’s analytics code does not load before you accept. Declining leaves the website fully usable. We save your choice, its date and a policy version in your browser for up to six months, then ask again.
You can also use Analytics choices in the footer. Withdrawing stops future website collection, removes this website’s analytics cookies and normally reloads the page to stop the loaded analytics code. It does not erase data already included in reports.
Cookies and retention
Our analytics cookies use the gnfmw prefix and are set to expire after 60 days without extending their original expiry on later visits. Your analytics preference is stored separately from those cookies. When you decline, we also save a backup refusal in this browser tab and an essential cookie named gnfm_analytics_denied, for up to six months. That cookie only remembers your refusal; it is not used to measure visits. Clearing browser storage may remove the saved choice.
Our Google Analytics settings keep detailed visitor and activity records for two months. Later visits do not restart that period. Summary reports that combine visits can be kept longer. Google may also process data under its service terms.
The website and app-support pages share a domain. Although we do not place the analytics code on sign-in, invite, billing or app-support pages, the browser may include domain cookies when requesting those pages.
